Since our initial start up back in 2014, Fortunum Ltd has become known for our professional and reliable client representation and project management.

We have a breadth of knowledge about the rail, energy, infrastructure and construction sectors and can confidently lead clients through the project life cycle and manage projects on their behalf.

Our extensive experience with all kinds of project management frameworks including the APM Book of Knowledge, PRINCE2, the Network Rail GRIP process and the RIBA Plan of Work gives us the expertise and capability to manage a project to any client's requirements.

We can provide our clients with a partial or full service throughout all stages of a projects lifecycle, whether it be stages up to issuing of ITT (including preparation of scoping and health and safety documents) or just managing the project and contractors during the build stage.

We pride ourselves in being fair to all project stakeholders and we truly believe that working collaboratively with all stakeholders generates the best end result for all.

It’s this standard of excellence that has provided the impetus for us to grow into the business we are today.

We believe that our customer requirements and their committed obligations take priority and that means following your procedures and developing new ones to keep them compliant.

Our Background

Fortunum was created in 2014 when our Director was made redundant from a construction directorship role within a large multi-disciplined national construction company. Since then, we have been involved in various small- to medium-sized projects across sectors including central government, energy, and primarily rail infrastructure. We can provide project management services for all of the project life cycle, from tender development to handover, being specialists in client representation and on site contractor management. Our services include preparation of health and safety documentation, creating and managing risk registers and cost forecasting, as well as on site client representation managing your contactors on your behalf.

We have experience in NEC and JCT design and build contracts management and can provide a full commercial solution and act as an employers representative.

Over the last six years we have managed, on behalf of our clients, over £75m worth of projects, ranging in individual value from £1.5m to £20m. All projects have been delivered on time, safely and within budget. Our current order book includes £30m worth of project value as of January 2020.

We have been recognised by all stakeholders as having a fair and collaborate approach to our project management, completing all projects with no outstanding claims.

In 2019 we were awarded the Unsung Heroes Award by our client at Transpennine Express and sponsored by Hitachi Rail. This was in recognition for our work in delivering the portfolio of projects with little disruption to operations and using very little client resource.
